The Spill Control Association of America (SCAA) is committed to providing Advocacy, Education, and Engagement through our programs and initiatives. The SCAA Annual Meeting offers members the opportunity to hear from industry-leading experts and connect with colleagues. SCAA is also working with NOAA to arrange a tour of the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) during the meeting. This facility is part of the Great Lakes Oil Spill Center of Expertise (GLCOE), a Congressionally-mandated center for industry-leading technology development and research run by the USCG. 

Please join fellow emergency responders, manufacturers, and environmental firms at the 2024 SCAA Annual Meeting on Wednesday, July 31, and Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti, Michigan, surrounded by breathtaking views of Ford Lake and Eagle Crest Golf Course’s 18-hole championship course. We hope to see you there!

Q: When is the 2024 SCAA Annual Meeting?
A: The 2024 SCAA Annual Meeting will take place at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on Wednesday, July 31, and Thursday, August 1, 2024. 

Q: Are there any networking events?
A: SCAA has built in valuable networking time during session breaks and will host a social event on Wednesday evening.

Q: How do I attend?
A: After you register, you will receive a confirmation email verifying your registration. Once you arrive on site you can go to the SCAA registration desk to pick up your badge and other conference materials.

Q: How do I become A SCAA member to take advantage of the discounted member rate?
A: If you wish to become a member of SCAA, click here to complete the online membership application prior to registering. 

Q: What should I wear?
A: During the day, anything from business to casual dress is appropriate. The temperature fluctuates in meeting rooms, so please bring a jacket.

Q: Will there be Wi-Fi?
A: Complimentary basic wireless internet will be provided.

Q: Is there parking at the property?
A: Valet and self-parking is available for overnight and day guests. Rates are:
-Overnight Guests - Valet is $35.00/day and Self-parking is $30.00/day
-Day Guests - Valet is $17.00/day and Self-parking is $10.00/day   

Q: Will transportation be provided to and from the Tour of Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL)?
A: The tour is limited to 55 participants available on a first-come, first-served basis. A complimentary shuttle will transport attendees to and from the tour. You must RSVP to secure your spot.

Q: What is the cancelation policy?
A: Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing and emailed to SCAA Headquarters at [email protected]. Requests received by June 1, 2024 will be refunded in full. No refunds will be processed for cancellations received on or after June 1, 2024.
